In 1700 three brothers came from Ireland and landed in N. Carolina. Two of the brothers were John and James. I do not know the name of the other one. James is supposed to have settled in N. Carolina and raised a family. John went north and was lost sight of. So was the other one. -- William C. Latta.

NC} She was born September 27, 1782 and died June 28, 1858. He moved to Graves Co., Ky. with his family, buying and selling land. Both are Buried at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Graves Co., KY. I have heard my father say that Thomas fought under General Jackson at the Battle of New Orleans January 8, 1815. They moved to Hickman Co, Ky. about 1829.

He was Born: September 20, 1859. Died: February 28, 1939. In: Mendham, NJ. He was the son of Albert Harris Johnson and Cynthia Pernecia Ross. They had 4 children, Ruth, Albert, Ruppel, Clinton. In 1915 lived in New York City.

Second to Belzora French in 1881. Third to Selina Austin in 1886. He enlisted in the Civil War at Columbus, Ky. September 12, 1861. Private Co. A, 7th Regt. Kentucky Mounted Infantry, C.S.A. Promoted to Sergeant May 20, 1864 and was reported present on the
roll for May and June, 1864, last on file. Col. Edward Crossland was surrendered by Lieut. Ensign R. Taylor, C.S.A. May 4, 1865 and was paroled at Columbus, Miss. May 16, 1865.

Amanda Sofronia Sellers October 27, 1870 in Hickman Co., Ky. She is born June 17, 1850 and died at Water Valley, Graves Co., Ky. They lived a few miles from Water Valley, Hickman Co., Ky. where they married and had a farm. All the children born there. Farmer.  They are buried in the Water Valley Cemetery, Water Valley, Graves County, Kentucky.

100 LUNA MAY (7) b. September 6, 1871; m. Thomas J. Taylor October 16, 1895.  He was born September 27, 1868 and died February 20, 1933. In 1939 she lived at Martin, Tenn. Children: Mary b.
